St Ives Arts Club is the town's oldest and most enduring creative institution.
Following the railway arrival in 1877, the club was established as a meeting place for painters, writers and performers: a place to socialise, debate, collaborate and help shape the future of art in St Ives.
Inspired by the town's unique light, harbour and coastline, artists were drawn from across the world to work here. Based in the Arts Club they formed one of the earliest and most influential artists' colonies in the country.
The Arts Club helped nurture the creative atmosphere that made St Ives internationally significant as a centre for arts.

Our Mission
Art for Everyone
St Ives Arts Club fosters a welcoming space for artists of all backgrounds. We aim to preserve our venue for future generations while celebrating diverse artistic expressions.
